SUNFLOWER COUNTY, Miss.–A man from Memphis is dead after a wreck in Sharkey County where his Kawasali motorcycle hit the back of a Mack Truck Sunday afternoon just after 2 p.m.
That man has been identified as Kionchez Gibson, 42, of Memphis.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol says that wreck happened on Hwy. 49 west.
At the same time Caitlin Dodson, of Southaven, who was riding beside Gibson, avoided the truck, but ran off in a ditch and wrecked and had to be flown to a Jackson hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck, a 28-year-old man from Belzoni, was unhurt.
