YAZOO CITY, Miss.–Yazoo City police have not yet announced an arrest in the shooting of two people at a Friday evening basketball game in which one person died and another was injured.
Thatneighborhood game was just before 7 p.m. on Chapman St.
Police said a suspect began firing at people who were playing. Yazoo County Coroner Ricky Shivers identified the person killed as Dontavious Weekly, 29, of Yazoo City.
Yazoo City Police Chief Terry Gann told WJTV that they have identified a suspect. But, the search for him is on-going.
His name has not been released.
