TUNICA, Miss.–Flooding is a concern following several rounds of storms, that included strong and severe storms in some Delta counties Wednesday afternoon and evening.
A flood watch is in effect through Sunday morning for the counties in the northern Delta.
Wednesday afternoon ahead of the storms, sandbags were being offered to people in Tunica County.
While hail and possible tornadoes were the main concern Wednesday afternoon, the runoff from the heavy rain could cause flooding in creeks and rivers, even after the storms are gone.
Rain and thunderstorms remain in the forecast through the weekend.
