GRENADA, Miss.–A man from Greenwood has been charged in a pursuit that started in Batesville and ended with a crash along I-55 at the Grenada exit, Monday night.
The pursuit began when Batesville Police spotted a stolen vehicle and chased it all the way from Batesville to the Grenada exit, where it crashed into a pole.
The man driving the car, identified as Kentra Clay, was hurt and was taken to the hospital.
He faces charges in both Batesville and Grenada County, once he’s released.
Speeds in the chase reached 100 mph, according to police.
