BENOIT, Miss. — A 27-year-old man is in critical condition following a shooting Sunday night in Benoit, according to the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to multiple reports of shots fired at approximately 10:36 p.m. on Preston Street. When they arrived, they determined the shooting occurred in the roadway in front of a local club.
The victim, identified as Latwoine Vail of Benoit, was transported by private vehicle to Greenville Medical Center. He was later flown to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he remains in critical condition.
