CLEVELAND, Miss. — Delta State University has announced OKRAtation 2025, its official orientation program for new freshmen and transfer students, set to run from Aug. 16 to Aug. 19, with additional events continuing through Aug. 21.
The program, organized by the Office of Engagement & Advocacy, aims to ease students’ transition into college life by providing information on campus services such as housing, financial aid, safety, and student support. Each participant will be paired with a peer mentor known as a Statesmen Pioneer.
“OKRAtation represents far more than an introduction to campus,” said Tameka Curry-Bryant, director of the Office of Engagement & Advocacy. “It marks the beginning of each student’s collegiate experience at Delta State.”
Virtual OKRAtation will also be available on Aug. 16 via Canvas, the university’s learning management system, for students unable to attend in person.
Families are encouraged to attend the Parent’s Presidential Preview on Aug. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the President’s residence. Signature events throughout the week include the Student Engagement Fair, Carnival Kickback, and the traditional Statesmen Walk.
