DeSOTO COUNTY, Miss.–A 78-year-old man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison for shooting a woman in the leg when she refused him sex, and for shooting at his son when he tried to take the gun away from his father.
DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton said Steve Robertson got two consecutive 15-year sentences this week for firing those shots, which Barton said would men he spent the rest of his life in prison.
He was charged with aggravated assault after the shootings.
