MEMPHIS, Tenn.–The reward for information leading to an arrest in the shooting death of Ole Miss freshman and football player Corey Adams, 18, has been raised to $10,000.
Adams was shot and killed after a pool party in Cordova, in the Memphis area July 19.
Four other people were also wounded in the shooting.
As many as 100 or more people were in attendance at the pool party. After the party, when, according to witnesses, Adams, of New Orleans, was standing in the street, shots were fired.
Shelby County Sheriff’s Dept. Chief Deputy Anthony Buckner believes there are several potential suspects.
“In virtually every case, at least one person knows enough information that could help investigators make an arrest. We simply ask that someone contact CrimeStoppers at 528-CASH (2274) and provide information that will make him or her eligible for the extraordinary award,” said David Wayne Brown, executive director of Crimestoppers for the Memphis area.
