FRIARS POINT, Miss.–A fire Tuesday night caused “significant smoke and fire damage” to a preschool in Friars Point, said the Coahoma County Fire Department.
The fire was called in about 10:30 and when firefighters arrived to the South St. location fire was coming out of the roof.
Firefighters were able to get in and eventually put the fire out. They stayed on the scene for about six hours, though, to extinguish any remaining flare ups.
No injuries were reported.
