Airiyal Davis has been appointed coordinator of student success at Mississippi Delta Community College, stepping into a new role within the Office of Student Services.
Davis previously served as coordinator of student activities and recreation. In her new position, she will oversee the daily operations of the Student Success Center of Learning (SSCL), including budgeting, reporting, and record-keeping.
Her responsibilities include providing academic support in core areas such as math, English, computer applications, and test preparation. Davis also assists with student advising and helps manage educational technology platforms such as Canvas.
She works in close collaboration with faculty to assess and meet tutoring needs, and she coordinates testing support with the director of library services and the eLearning coordinator. Her role also includes identifying and addressing barriers that may hinder student success.
