COAHOMA COUNTY, Miss. — Authorities say a Coahoma County woman died following a single-vehicle rollover south of Dickerson Road Tuesday.
The Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to the area of Friars Point Road and found 46-year-old Marcel Thomas. Deputies immediately began life-saving measures before she was transported to Northwest Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, where efforts to save her life continued. Thomas later died from her injuries.
The sheriff’s office extended condolences to the family and asked the community to keep them in their thoughts.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution while traveling, notify someone of travel plans and expected arrival times, and remain aware of their surroundings.
