Greenville Police Investigate Indecent Exposure Incident at Walmart

GREENVILLE, Miss. — The Greenville Police Department is investigating an indecent exposure incident that occurred Wednesday afternoon at Walmart.

Police said officers responded to the store at about 4:03 p.m. May 6 after receiving a report from an adult female customer who said she was approached by an unknown man while shopping inside the store.

According to investigators, the suspect approached the woman multiple times in one of the store’s aisles before allegedly engaging in lewd and inappropriate behavior in her presence.

Authorities said the woman confronted the suspect, who then fled the store through the general merchandise side. Police said the incident caused significant distress to the victim.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and believed to be between 30 and 35 years old. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket.

Detectives reviewed store surveillance footage with Walmart loss prevention personnel and obtained still images and video of the suspect near the location of the incident, according to police. Investigators are working to positively identify him.
Police said the victim intends to pursue criminal charges once the suspect is identified.
