MOORHEAD, Miss. — Mississippi Delta Community College honored former Board of Trustees Chair Dr. Peter Jackson during a special unveiling ceremony July 9, officially naming the Board Room in the Stauffer-Wood Administration Building in his honor.
During the ceremony, Dr. Jackson’s portrait and commemorative plaque were unveiled in the newly named Dr. Peter Jackson Board Room. Jackson was joined by family members and members of the MDCC community for the occasion.
The board room was named in recognition of Jackson’s 35 years of service on the Mississippi Delta Community College Board of Trustees and his leadership as board chair.
College officials said the dedication celebrates Jackson’s commitment to MDCC and his lasting impact on the institution.
The newly named Dr. Peter Jackson Board Room will serve as a reminder of his years of service and dedication to advancing the mission of Mississippi Delta Community College.
