CLARKSDALE, Miss. — Two people were critically injured in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in Clarksdale, according to the Clarksdale Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 2:26 p.m. to the 200 block of Lynn Street after receiving a report that two individuals had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found an adult Black man and a Black juvenile girl suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a hospital for treatment and were listed in critical condition, police said.
Investigators have not released information about a suspect or what may have led to the shooting.
The Clarksdale Police Department said the investigation remains active, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
