(Ben Caxton)– A Crossett man died Wednesday morning in a vehicle accident on U.S. 425 in Ashley County.
Robert S. Wilcox, 38, was southbound on U.S. 425 when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. The 2008 Pontiac he was driving exited the left side of the highway, struck a dirt embankment, and rolled approximately four times before coming to a rest on its top, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary accident report.
Wilcox died at the scene of the accident which occurred Wednesday at 6:20 a.m., according to the accident report.
The weather was clear and the roadway was dry.
At least 383 people have died as a result of accidents on Arkansas roads this year, according to preliminary figures.
