CLARKSDALE, Miss. — Clarksdale Public Utilities is launching a paid summer internship program aimed at providing young adults with hands-on work experience and career development opportunities in the public utilities sector.
The Youth Summer Enrichment Program is open to recent high school graduates and college students ages 18 to 21. The program will run from June 1 through Aug. 7.
According to city officials, the internship is designed to help participants gain real-world experience, build career skills and explore future opportunities in public utilities.
Interns will have the opportunity to work in several departments, including electric distribution, electric production, customer service, maintenance, human resources, billing and administration.
Program benefits include paid work experience, departmental rotations, professional development, mentorship opportunities and exposure to careers in public utilities.
