CLARKSDALE, Miss.–A member of the Coahoma County Fire Department, a volunteer organization, was seen acting unprofessionally in a video that’s been circulating in the area and the department has posted a letter of apology to their Facebook page.
It was unclear from the post what type of behavior the firefighter was engaged in. But, the post did say he was in uniform.
“We sincerely apologize for this inappropriate action,” read the letter. “This behavior is not in line with the values and standards that our department upholds.”
The letter goes on to say that the matter has been dealt with, though no specific disciplinary action was outlined. It said that it was made clear that fire department property should be used only for the purposes for which it was designed and issued to firefighters.
The letter also says the department values the trust of the people of Coahoma County and invites anyone with concerns to contact the department.
