The Coahoma County Fire Department (CCFD) responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 49 North near Lula, resulting in one person being injured. According to CCFD officials, emergency crews arrived to find one vehicle fully engulfed in flames and another with significant front-end damage.
All occupants had self-extricated from the vehicles before firefighters arrived. Paramedics treated and transported one individual to a local hospital with injuries.
Firefighting support was provided by the Lyon, Lula, and Bobo fire departments. In addition, the Helena-West Helena Fire Department assisted with mutual aid.
The Coahoma County Fire Department expressed their gratitude for the collaboration among local fire services in handling the incident.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
