The Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office, under the leadership of Sheriff Mario Magsby, Sr., is celebrating its first Christmas in office with a message focused on community safety.

Sheriff Magsby urges residents to take necessary steps to protect their property during the holiday season, reminding everyone to remove valuables from their vehicles and ensure they are securely locked.

“We ask that you do not leave items of value in your cars, including cell phones, firearms, or garage door openers,” Magsby said in a statement. “An unlocked car with visible valuables can be an easy target for thieves, and a garage door opener left inside could jeopardize the safety of your home and family.”
