CLEVELAND, Miss. — Delta State University has appointed Dr. Curtis L. Coleman as its new Vice President for Enrollment Management, effective May 1.
Coleman brings more than 15 years of experience in higher education leadership, most recently serving as Executive Director of Admissions at Virginia State University. During his tenure, VSU achieved its largest freshman classes in school history for three consecutive years and saw a 55% increase in new student deposits, along with a 64% rise in first-time freshmen and transfer enrollment.
“Dr. Coleman brings a dynamic and student-focused vision to Delta State,” said DSU President Dr. Daniel J. Ennis. “His depth of experience in enrollment strategy, student success, and data-driven decision-making aligns with our mission.”
Coleman has also held leadership roles at South College, Life University, and the University of West Georgia, with a background in admissions, student success, and academic instruction. At Delta State, he will lead efforts to strengthen recruitment, retention, and student engagement.
He holds a doctorate in Student Affairs Administration and Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
