GREENWOOD, Miss.–The rough weather is not done with the Delta. Another round of potentially severe storms is expected in the area Saturday and Saturday night, said Meteorologist Christopher Reiner, with the National Weather Service.
“We will have another round of potentially severe weather,” he said, “with the timing being Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning.”
He said the wave coming through Saturday will bring with it the chance for isolated tornadoes in addition to strong winds and heavy rain.
“We are looking at a few rounds of heavy rainfall and totals with measure from three to five inches,” said Reiner.
He said that is expected to clear out early Sunday.
