CLEVELAND, Miss.–Delta State head football coach Todd Coooley has been awarded a four-year contract extension with DSU, the school announced Wednesday.
Cooley’s record over 11 seasons is 75-46. But, he also has a winning record when it comes to his football players keeping up with their studies.
“Our football program has achieved success in the classroom, in the community, and on the field in recent years under Coach Cooley’s leadership,” said Director of Athletics Mike Kinnison.
“Continuity and retention of coaching staffs is a top priority for continued success, and we look forward with excitement to the program’s future accomplishments under Todd’s direction.”
The university’s athletic program was one of the few untouched by major changes and restructuring at the school announced over several months in 2024.
