CLEVELAND, Miss. — Delta State University celebrated its Fall 2024 Commencement on December 13, with ceremonies at the Bologna Performing Arts Center. The university awarded degrees to 485 students, including 183 bachelor’s degrees, 217 master’s degrees, 59 educational specialist degrees, and 26 doctoral degrees.
Delta State President Dr. Daniel J. Ennis welcomed graduates, their families, and faculty members, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.
The commencement speaker, Lee Inmon Dean, a longtime faculty member in the Department of Mathematics, addressed the graduates. A native of Leland, Dean has been a part of the Delta State community for over two decades. She earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Delta State before continuing her education at the University of Mississippi, where she received her master’s and Ph.D. in the same field.
