HERNANDO, Miss.–The man who walked out of the DeSoto County courthouse and was \on the run for three months has pleaded not guilty to the charges that originally brought him to court in June.
Joshua Zimmerman says he’s not guilty of the attempted murder of his roommate, kidnapping, credit card fraud, receiving stolen property and being a felon with a firearm.
You might remember that after his escape the sheriff’s department , then U.S. Marshals, had a tough time tracking him down. He was finally caught in August in Chicago and was arrested during a standoff with police. He was finally back in DeSoto County last month.
Zimmerman is also wanted in Texas on a murder charge. It is unclear when he will be brought there to face a judge and jury.
