GREENVILLE, Miss.–A person was hit and killed Wednesday night about 10 in Greenville.
That happened on Hwy. 82 east. When police arrived they found a Black male laying on the highway and unresponsive. Medics from Pafford arrived and attempted to save his life, but he died from his injuries.
The man’s identity was not released Wednesday.
Police were questioning the driver and said the man’s death will be investigated fully.
Recently the city council expressed concern because of people being hit on both Hwy. 82 and Hwy. 1 and were looking into whether lighting is a factor. An attempt to have MDOT install more lighting along their right of way has been discussed.
