Four Arrested in Holmes County Gas Station Shootout That Left Two Dead, One Injured

LEXINGTON, Miss.–Four people have been arrested and charged with the murders of two people and the wounding of a third during a shootout at a Holmes County gas station New Year’s Eve.
The shootings happened at the front door of the Shell station on Hwy. 17.
Killed were Brian Grisby Jr., 21, and DeMarion Sly, 19. A woman was grazed by a bullet.
Arrested were Amari Ward, 19; Amante Ward, 20; Jamal Sly, 23 and Sendarius Craft, 21. A bond for Craft has not been set since he was arrested Tuesday. The other three were arrested Monday, with their binds set at a half million dollars for each of two counts of murder.
Deputies have not publicly discussed a motive for the killings.
