What started as a simple social media post showing off the department’s new gear quickly turned into a viral sensation. In the video, firefighters danced to “Boots on the Ground,” a popular song by artist 803FRESH. The post caught the attention of the artist himself, leading to an invitation for the crew to perform live at the 803FRESH Show in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The Greenville Fire Department called the experience “the best ever,” thanking the artist and fans for the opportunity.
Since going viral, firefighters have also brought the dance into local schools, using it as a fun way to promote excitement and positivity around state testing.
