GREENVILLE, Miss. — The City of Greenville will host its annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, Aug. 4, bringing residents together for an evening focused on community engagement, unity and neighborhood connections.
The event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Schelben Park and is free and open to the public.
This year’s theme, “We Are One,” highlights the importance of building stronger relationships throughout the community under the slogan, “Stronger Together, Better Together.”
The family-friendly event will feature community connections, school supply giveaways, music, games, food and refreshments. Organizers say the event is designed to encourage residents to connect with one another while celebrating community spirit.
Mayor Errick D. Simmons is encouraging residents of all ages to attend and participate in the evening’s activities.
National Night Out is an annual campaign observed by communities across the country to strengthen neighborhood relationships and foster partnerships that promote safer, more connected communities.
Residents are invited to attend, meet local organizations and fellow community members, and enjoy an evening celebrating unity and civic pride.
