GREENVILLE, Miss. — A 34-year-old Greenville man was shot early Sunday morning and taken to the hospital by private vehicle, according to police.
Officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched around 12:26 a.m. to the 1800 block of East Alexander in reference to a person who had been shot. When officers arrived, they learned the victim had already been taken to Delta Health Systems.
Detectives said the man was in an open parking lot when he heard gunshots and realized he had been struck. He was treated at the hospital. As of Monday, there was no update on his condition.
