Greenville’s Chief Marcus Turner, along with the Greenville Police Department, is inviting the community to come together for a Community Prayer Hour this Friday, February 7, 2025, at 12 PM. The event will take place on the steps of City Hall, where citizens are encouraged to join in prayer and unity for the future of the city.
The event is open to community leaders, religious partners, parents, school officials, and all those who care about the well-being of Greenville. Chief Turner emphasized that the prayer hour is an opportunity for all to come together in spirit, love, and support for one another.
“We believe in the power of prayer and the strength that comes from unity,” said Chief Turner. “As we gather, we seek to foster positive relationships and hope for a better tomorrow.”
The prayer hour is based on the scripture from James 5:16, which states, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much,” highlighting the belief that collective prayer can make a significant impact.
The Greenville Police Department looks forward to seeing the community come together in faith and support this Friday. All are welcome to participate.
