GREENVILLE, Miss.–A man accused of chasing down a U.S. Postal carrier and forcing her into a Greenwood business using a knife, has been sentenced to federal prison.
Cordero Moore, 36, of Greenwood, was sentenced in federal court in Greenwood to nearly six years in prison.
The attack happened in August of 2024.
“This defendant made a violent, cowardly attack on a female postal employee who was just hard at work performing her duties,” said U.S. Attorney Clay Joyner.
“It is ludicrous that this dedicated letter carrier should have to fear for her life while simply doing her job, and we appreciate the collaboration of our law enforcement partners in holding the line against such conduct.”
