On January 1, 2022, around 1:00 am, Hollandale PD and Washington County SO were dispatched to South East Ave. in Hollandale, MS. Upon their arrival, Mr. Kenneth Threadgill and Ms. Cherie Hoskins had been injured due to being struck by a hit-and-run driver while they were walking. Ms. Hoskins and Mr. Threadgill were both transported to Delta Health Systems by Pafford EMS before being airlifted for further treatment.
The suspect Ms. Latoya Bell fled the scene but was arrested after being caught speeding by the MS Highway Patrolman and Greenville PD in Greenville, MS. Ms. Bell was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and held at the Wahington County Correctional Facility with no bond.
