INDIANOLA, Miss.–A 1976 Piper Cub aircraft was stolen from the Indianola Airport Dec. 20. Now agents with the Mississippi Agricultural and Livestock Theft Bureau have made an arrest.

The woman arrested is Barrett Duet Cochran, 43, of Indianola, picked up when a Madison Police officer pulled him over driving a Corvette on I-55, that was determined to have been stolen in Alabama. The MALTB believes the Vette and the airplane thefts are connected.
They also believe that those thefts are connected to the theft of a side by side and a tractor, believed to have been stolen by Christopher Douglas Showah, who is Ccohran’s boyfriend.
Cochran was also charged with drug possession and possession of a stolen gun.
MALTB Director Dean Bernard credits the Sunflower County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison Police Dept. with their help in cracking the case.
