ROSEDALE, Miss.–Mississippi’s newest mayor is Jack Coleman, of Rosedale in Bolivar County. Coleman and an almost entirely new city council took the oaths of office this weekend.
“It’s not like the private sector, which means sometimes you’ll have to jump through hoops to get things done,” said Circuit Judge Linda Coleman, who administered the oaths and offered admonition in her remarks. “It’s not gonna be instantaneous like it would be in the private sector.”
Mayor Coleman, who was elected three weeks ago, is a businessman, who also has developments in Rosedale.
“But, please just stay the course and you all will do fine for the City of Rosedale,” said Judge Coleman.
