RENOVA, Miss. — A man was injured in a shooting in Renova, Mississippi, authorities said.
Deputies were dispatched near Isola Street after reports of shots fired, according to the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office. At the scene, they found a gray Nissan Maxima in a ditch.
Inside the vehicle, deputies discovered Chadrick Smith, who had suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg. Smith told deputies he was driving when an unknown vehicle pulled up and opened fire.
The car had seven bullet holes, deputies said. Smith was transported to Bolivar County Medical Center by EMS.
