GREENVILLE, Miss. — A Greenville man was shot Thursday afternoon while sitting in his yard, prompting an investigation by local police.
Officers responded around 3:40 p.m. to the 1300 block of South Delesseps, where they found 48-year-old Broderick Dean suffering from a gunshot wound to his left side, according to the Greenville Police Department.
Witnesses reported that the suspect approached Dean on a bicycle and opened fire before fleeing the scene. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
Dean was transported to Delta Health Systems for further treatment. His condition was not immediately available.
