MOORHEAD, Miss. — The Mississippi Delta Community College Board of Trustees has approved a contract extension for President Dr. Steven Jones, extending his leadership of the college through June 2029.
The extension reflects the board’s continued confidence in Jones’ leadership and support for the college’s long-term direction, according to a statement released by the college.
Since taking office, Jones has led efforts focused on enrollment growth, student success initiatives, workforce development expansion and strengthening partnerships throughout the Mississippi Delta region.
College officials said the contract extension underscores the board’s recognition of the institution’s recent progress and its commitment to continued advancement under Jones’ administration.
