TUNICA, Miss.–A man who pleaded guilty to both possessing and distributing child pornography was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison.
Michael Ray Hall, 32, of Tunica, was accused of possessing the child sex abuse material in October of 2022. He pleaded guilty in August and was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Aberdeen.
“People like this defendant who possess and disseminate images of the sexual abuse of young children belong in prison – period,” said US Attorney Clay Joyner. “
“This case serves as an example of what the continued cooperation between this office, the FBI, and the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office can accomplish.”
Mississippi Atty. Gen Lynn Fitch said her office is committed to putting predators in prison.
“Working together, the FBI, my office, and the U.S. Attorney Clay Joyner’s office have helped put another predator behind bars before he could do more harm,” said Fitch. “My office is dedicated to removing these predators from our communities and serving justice to their victims, and we are grateful to have such strong partners in these efforts.”
