WASHINGTON–A man from Mississippi was killed in the collision between a Blackhawk Army helicopter and a commercial jet over the Potomac River, Wednesday night.
Amdam Eaves was from the Macon area, says his wife. She posted the following on social media:
“I am sure by now all of you have heard the news of the tragedy that has occurred in DC. My husband was one of the pilots in the Blackhawk. We ask that you pray for our family and friends and for all the other families that are suffering today. We ask for peace while we grieve.”
She also asked for people to refrain from making negative comments to spare his children and the children of others any further pain.
Eaves graduated from Central Academy.
