Mound Bayou, MS – Residents of Mound Bayou are under a boil water notice until further notice, as city officials continue to address long-standing water system issues.
A scheduled water shutoff will occur at 11 a.m. on December 3rd to facilitate repairs. Mayor Leighton Aldridge has reassured residents of the city’s efforts to resolve the situation.
“We are working daily to repair and improve the water issues that we have in Mound Bayou,” Aldridge said in a statement. “If you have a question or complaint, call me directly. I can discuss what is really going on and share the true facts, plans, and solutions to correct this problem. Citizens should see improvements to the water system daily.”
