OLIVE BRANCH, Miss.–A man sat inside an idle car at the intersection of Hwy. 302 and Craft Rd. about 8 p.m. Saturday night in Olive Branch. Police say he had a rifle in his lap and the smell of weed permeated the air around the car.
When police couldn’t get the man to come out of the car, they placed stop sticks under the wheels.
They eventually busted the back glass of the car and got James Moore, 20, out and put cuffs on him.
Moore was charged with possession of a controlled substance, enhanced by firearm; possession of drug paraphernalia, obstructing traffic, open container and having too much tint on his windows.
Police did not discuss what they thought Moore may have been up to with the rifle.
