ROLLING FORK, Miss.–An apparent tornado touched down in Sharkey County Sunday and damaged just one home, the home of Emergency Management Director Frank Eason.
Pictures posted to social media show the roof severely damaged and his county truck wrecked by the storm.
Some outbuildings were also damaged. His home is in the Lorenzen area.
Eason was not home when the twister hit. He was at a service in Rolling Fork, commemorating the anniversary of the tornado that hit there two years ago.
The only other damage from the storm were some trees that were downed and power outages because lines were hit. Last week another town in the county, Grace, was also hit by a tornado, damaging about 30 homes in the community.
