OXFORD, Miss.–The woman arrested Aug. 4 and charged with making two homemade bombs in Lafayette and Panola counties, and putting one of those bombs on someone’s car, has had a charge added: attempted escape from the Lafayette County Jail.

Authorities say a tip alerted them to a possible escape attempt by Christina Willis, 27, of Batesville, Thursday.

She was being aided by an accomplice: Mark Montogomery, 48, of Greenville, say investigators.

Montgomery was arrested and now faces possible federal charges.
