GREENVILLE, Miss. — A Greenville man was killed in a hit-and-run Tuesday night while crossing a busy highway, police said.
Officers with the Greenville Police Department responded around 8 p.m. to reports of a pedestrian struck in the 1700 block of Highway 82 East. When they arrived, they found the body of Patrick Lee, 58, lying in the roadway.
Witnesses told police Lee had been crossing the highway northbound, then turned back southbound before being struck. Some said it appeared he was hit by two separate vehicles, both of which left the scene.
