GORE SPRINGS, Miss.–An early morning argument between two men got violent, said the Grenada County Sheriff’s Dept. One man was shot and another is under arrest.

The incident happened about 6:30 in the parking lot of B’s Grocery in Gore Springs.

The man who was shot is 29 years old and was transported to UMMC in Jackson, via helicopter, the sheriff’s department said, with “gunshot wounds” indicating he had been shot more than once.

The 57-year-old suspect, Phillip Wayne Fly, was taken to the hospital in Grenada, saying he had chest pains. Once he was checked out and released, he was arrested.

Fly is charged with aggravated assault and was being held on a $50,000 bond.
