GRENADA, Miss.–A small airplane carrying an Angel Flight patient on the way to get medical treatment, crashed in Grenada County Wednesday, said Emergency Manager Chris Whitehurst.
The crash happened Wednesday afternoon, just after 2:30, near the Grenada airport. Whitehurst said no major injuries were reported, but that two people were being evaluated.
The plane crashed on its nose while trying to land. A photo showed no major damage to the craft.
Four people in total were on board. The cause of the crash was unclear.
