BELZONI, Miss.–You may have to put up with more severe weather in the Delta this weekend. The National Weather Service is predicting storms Sunday and Sunday night ahead of a front which is expected to bring much colder weather.
Most of the Delta has a slight risk for severe storms, according to the Weather Service, which equates to a 2 in 5 chance.
Hail, heavy rain and some tornadoes are possible as the front passes through.
Behind it you can expect colder air, though not the drastic cold you may have seen predicted on social media. The National Weather Service prediction is highs in the mid to upper 30s, with lows in the mid 20s.
No snow or ice is being predicted by the National Weather Service.
