GREENVILLE, Miss.–An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the shooting at an apartment complex where a bullet hit the window of a neighboring school Wednesday.
Greenville Police identified the suspect as Jayden McCullum.
He was charged with aggravated assault, shooting into an occupied dwelling and tampering with evidence.
The shooting happened just after 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hallmark Apartments on East Reed Rd. When police got there they found “evidence of a shooting”, and also discovered that a window at Washington School had been shot out.
Police Chief Marcus Turner released a statement urging more security at apartment complexes, to include purchasing cameras to help police.
