TUNICA, Miss.–A teenager is wanted for a Sunday night murder in Tunica County.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Department says deputies got a call about a shooting at the intersection of Carol St. and Edwards Ave., just before 11:15 p.m.
When they arrived they found a man identified as Makenzie Kaleb Thomas, 18, of Tunica, shot. He was treated by paramedics, but died at the scene. His body was taken for an autopsy at the Mississippi State Crime Lab.
After an investigation, deputies got a warrant for Mario Donyale Lester, Jr., 17, of Tunica County.
He’s wanted for first degree murder and unlawful discharge of a firearm within a populated area.
