YAZOO CITY, Miss.–While it may have been creative and innovative, delivering contraband inside the federal prison in Yazoo City with a drone was also a felony and Mark Anbderson, 50, of Tennessee, will spend two months himself in federal prison for it.
He was sentenced Wednesday, after pleading guilty to the charge in September, said the U.S. Attorney.
It was marijuna that Anderson flew over the walls on FCI Yazoo, on the morning of Oct. 2, 2021. The plan was for the drone to release the dope once it was over the wall and for an inmate to pick it up.
Instead he was caught, the case investigated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
